This style of Sauvignon Blanc from Hawkes Bay provides a unique counterpoint to the greener/fruitier styles of Marlborough. In contrast this wine has a more subtle bouquet that is flinty and creamy yet still showing lemon peel and green apple varietal character. The palate is medium to full bodied with yoghurty complexity and a long crisp finish. Reminiscent of good white Bordeaux. Drink now to 2021.
