This wine is made from extremely low yielding old vines from a number of select parcels within the Barossa Valley. It spent 18 months in new and old oak hogsheads (large oak casks). This is a serious wine with serious ageing potential. It is rich without being jammy and complex without the influence of new oak. Classic aromas of licorice, dates, dry earth and eucalypt abound. The palate is ripe without being overblown. Designed for longer term cellaring Drink 2016-2030.
