The grapes for this wine come from a single Syrah vineyard in the southerly Golden Mile sub-region of British Columbia. The grapes were hand harvested, then crushed and destemmed to vat. The must was then left for 18 hours on skins prior to running the free-run juice to stainless steel without pressing. A long, cold, fermentation in tank then ensued, followed by maturation on lees for 9 months prior to bottling.
This dry Rosé has a bouquet of raspberries, red cherries, white pepper, and strawberries. The palate is medium bodied, with a luscious red fruit focus, and a long crisp finish. This is a versatile food wine, pairing well with lighter style fare or as an ideal patio wine. Drink now to 2018
