This is probably the most famous sweet wine to come out of Australia. It is made from Semillon grapes affected with Botrytis, allowing the grapes to dry and concentrate. The resulting juice is fermented and aged in French oak barrels to create an intense and long-lived desert style wine. The aromas show notes of marmalade, candied ginger, quince paste and dried apricots. The palate is full and rich with dried fruit intensity, toasty oak complexity and a long sweet decadent finish.
