This single vineyard wine comes from the Golden Mile sub-region of the Okanagan Valley. Only the low yielding upper slopes of the vineyard were picked for this reserve style. The grapes were destemmed into small batch fermenters, hand plunged and basket pressed. The wines were transferred into a combination of 70% French barriques and 30% American barriques for 12 months. Only the best barrels of wine were selected for the label. The wine was lightly filtered at bottling. The aromas of this wine show intense notes of black peppercorns, prosciutto, plums, sticky toffee pudding and vanilla beans. The palate is soft, yet full bodied with an ease and balance coming from old vines, moderate alcohol and excellent acidity. Pairs well with grilled red meats, crispy duck and Osso Buco. Drink now to 2025.
