This rare white grape is grown around the famous towers of San Gimignano in central Tuscany. The grape became almost extinct until it was revitalized by DOC status in the late 1960’s. It is inherently a food wine with subtle aromas of lemon peel, dusty earth, apple, dried rosemary and almonds. The palate is refreshingly crisp with a distinctive bitter almond finish. Drink now to 2018.
