This is a “Bordeaux” blend with a Chillean twist. 45% Carmenere, 25% Merlot, 16% Cabernet Sauvignon and 14% Syrah. The wine really shows the way Chile is coming of age in it’s approach to red wine making. The nose is sophisticated with the leafy notes of Carmenere balancing the mint and structure of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. The Syrah is more noticeable on the palate providing depth and spice. Overall the wine is balanced with appealing new French oak and rich ripe fruit to back it up. Drink now to 8 years.
