This Cotes du Rhone Villages wine comes from very old vines, including some planted after World War 1. This is a classic blend of 70% Grenache with 10% each of Syrah, Cinsault and Carignan. The nose is dominated by the rich date, plum and licorice character of Grenache with supporting aromas of white pepper, dusty earth and dried rosemary. The palate is full bodied yet firm with a generous mouthfeel and a long drying finish.
