Vouvray is the classic appellation of the Loire Valley specializing in Chenin Blanc. This variety has naturally high acidity and therefore suits the production of off dry wines such as this one. The vines are 25-30 years old and as such the wine shows excellent intensity and complexity. The aromas are those of apples, pears, and peaches with a creamy/cheesy complexity. The palate is medium bodied, with stone fruits and a crisp yet off dry finish. This would compliment spicey Asian foods beautifully.
