The term “Sticky” is an Australian colloquialism for a dessert wine. This luscious style is made from the Semillon grape and uses a unique vinification process known as “Cane Cutting” where grapes are left on the vine to dry out and concentrate after the canes have literally been cut by pruners. The result is very rich, sweet grapes that are fermented into this hedonistic wine. Try with strong blue cheeses. Drink now to 2020.
