The 2013 vintage in the Barossa Valley will be remembered as one of the earliest and fastest on record. The yields were down and the fruit came in very ripe and concentrated. The variety that faired best was inevitably Grenache. This wine is predominately Grenache showing the ripe opulent, fragrant and dense fruit notes typical for the vintage. The use of oak is very subtle allowing the fig, date and plum fruit to shine.
