This wine comes from the Rasteau appellation of the Southern Rhone which consistently produces great wines yet was only promoted to it’s own AOC in 2010. This wine is a blend of Grenache, Syrah and Mouvedre. The nose is very dark in profile, with black berries, plums, anise, violets and black cherry. The palate is very full bodied with flavours of licorice, dark chocolate and a long chalky finish. Warm yet quite crisp and tight.
