2017 Peter Yealands, Sauvignon Blanc, Marlborough, New Zealand

The fruit from this wine comes from the cool Awatere Valley sub-region of Marlborough. The wines tend to be more mineral and herbal than the valley floor counterpart. This wine is a great example with notes of stone fruit, tomato leaf, green peppers, thyme and citrus. The palate is medium bodied and herbaceous with a refreshing bitter almond finish. Try with a tropical mango and chicken salad. Drink now to 2022.
