The Rheinhessen is capable of producing some excellent Pinot Noir, although most good ones never leave the country. This is a solid example with strong
varietal notes of strawberry, cranberry, and slight barnyard complexity. The palate is medium bodied, yet showing solid structure and drying chalky tannins. This is a versatile food wine, pairing well with duck, salmon, and game birds. Drink now to 2023.
