2015 Gerard Bertrand, Syrah/Mouvèdre, St Chinian, France

These 2 varieties work beautifully together.  The wine is a dark, spicey brooding wine with fabulous high-toned aromatics and garrique (dried herb) complexity.  The palate is full bodied, showing judicious use of oak with lots of pepper and spice.   Try with a wagyu beef steak. Drink now to 2028.
